This year Scottish Housing Day takes place on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. The core theme for this year is "Healthy homes, healthy futures," which focuses on the vital links between housing quality, energy efficiency, accessibility, and overall physical and mental health outcomes.
The Tenant Participation team will be holding various events to mark this celebration:
Lochaber Tenant Participation and Housing Team are inviting school-aged children from across the area to take part in a creative competition inspired by this year's theme. Children are being asked to draw, paint or design a picture showing what a healthy home and healthy future means to them. The winners will be invited to a special presentation and prize-giving event at the Charles Kennedy Building on Wednesday 16 September, where they will receive their awards and have the opportunity to see their artwork on display.
